After just a few meetings, young entrepreneur Ayham Gorani has succeeded in securing iSteps Widget Ventures as the seed investor for his internet start-up company WidgetLabs. He plans to use the additional capital to launch his pioneering business concept with a view to ensuring rapid growth. WidgetLabs is the first European company to focus on developing widgets. These are small applications that can be easily integrated in social networks such as MySpace or Facebook, and which therefore stand a good chance of being widely used within a short space of time.

Shoppero Facebook App

In the last couple of weeks we developed an application for Facebook - and we are happy to launch it today! Please check it out at http://apps.facebook.com/shoppero
What does it do? I’ll try to sum up most of the features:

1. Invite Friends to the Shoppero App on Facebook. This is an obvious first point since social shopping makes more sense (and fun) if you don’t do it alone.
2. Write new reviews. We developed a cute little tool that queries the Amazon.com product database as you type, hopefully suggesting the right products to you. After choosing a suggested product, the image and the URL automagically get inserted into the review. Of course, you can always write about anything you like regardless where to buy it online. Actually, you can even write about products only available offline.
3. Mark each and every product as “want it” or “got it” - thereby populating a wishlist and a list of stuff you already have.
4. See what your friends have or want. Convenient, especially with christmas coming up real soon now.
5. Create as many lists as you want or need.
6. Look at some of your Shoppero account details. For instance, how much money you have earned so far.

All reviews get pushed to Shoppero.com as soon as they are written, even from within Facebook. If you already have a Shoppero.com account and you would like to have it merged with your facebook shoppero account, drop us a line and we will be happy to do this manually until this feature is ready to publish. Also, as soon as you write a review, we update your personal newsfeed and thereby let other people know what you are writing about.

Please try it out and join our group on Facebook for further discussions regarding our facebook app.

Blauarbeit.de Integrates imageloop Slideshow Service

blauarbeit.de, Germany´s leading reverse service auction market and imageloop.com are mashing up their technologies in order to offer enhanced features for their users.

It is the first time that imageloop users can directly create slideshows on a partner´s portal without the need to switch to the imageloop platform.

Together with imageloop, the auction portal for services can offer a powerful tool for service providers to easily present references of jobs they have done for former customers. On the other hand the bidder gets a decent insight into the service providers´ qualities.

Ramin Ziai, Co-CEO of blauarbeit.de says: “(…) The cooperation with imageloop represents the first step in our strategic opening towards other Web 2.0 services.”

imageloop: Europe´s Biggest Slideshow Service Expands Operations

The Web 2.0 start up company imageloop lays down the basis for stronger growth as well as further international operations: From now on the slideshow service will be found under the domain www.imageloop.com. The new Website offers a completely refreshed design, a better ease-of-use in the process of creating slideshows as well as many new features.

Thus, imageloop makes it surprisingly easy to integrate moving pictures into Social Networks such as MySpace. The photo hosting service is brand new: users can upload their pics without any limit and reach them via the so-called permalink.

The imageloop service does not require the user´s registration and is available at no costs at all.

The most important changes are as follows:
• imageloop is the new name which comes with one „o“ less than the previous name „imagelooop“
• completely new Website, now accessible on www.imageloop.com
• stronger focus on Social Networks
• after German and English also Spanish, French and Italian language versions are available
• Photo Hosting as new service
• new Auto-Embed functionality for an easy integration into community profiles or blogs, e.g. for portals such as typepad, blogger.com, Knuddels and netvibes
• various new effects for slideshows.

„With more than 10 million played slideshows per month imageloop is the market leader in Europe for this type of online service. Our goal is to become the number one European platform for photo Hosting“, as Stefan Riehl, the COO of imageloop, comments. „There is no easier way to create and embed slideshows in the Web – not even with competitors such as the US services Slide, Rockyou or Photobucket.“
